Trip tips
Our suites are located right in the centre of the Bohemian Forest – Sumava, so you can set out to a trip in every direction. We are home here so you can use one of our proved tips.
A boat and raft trip on the Otava river
How about an adventure on the water? Choose a shorter or longer route – from Susice to Rabi (cca 10 km, 2 hours) or to Horazdovice (20 km, 4–5 hours). The river flows here through a wide valley around the Rabi castle. The water will not reach higher than your knees most of the time so the trip is ideal for beginners and families with children too.
Outdoor swimming pool in Susice
You can have a good time in renovated outdoor swimming pools in Susice. There are two pools including a paddling part for children, water chute, water mushrooms, a ball games field, children's playground, and refreshment spot with pergola seating or tanning surfaces.
Wolf wild run
You can gain an uncommon experience in a wolf wild run area in the Visitor center Srni dedicated to wild predators which strives to support wolf life in their natural habitat. The run area is roughly 3 hectares large and there is a beautiful observational footpath running through it.
Antygl farmstead
Visit the former farmstead of "Kralovaci" settlers from the 16th century. It is situated in the Vydra river valley and constituted by a group of log and stone buildings with shingled roofs. In this mountain farmstead, you can also take a look at a characteristic bell tower from the 18th century.
Kasperk Gothic castle
The highest royal castle built by Czech king and Roman emperor Charles IV in 1356 looks down at the Kasperske Hory town that is only 3km away from it. Here, you can enjoy perhaps the most beautiful view of the Bohemian Forest – Sumava.
Vltava river springs
Another exciting place in the neighbourhood is the springs of the longest Czech river Vltava. They are located in the inaccessible hillside of the Black Mountain (Cerna hora). However, a symbolic beginning of the river to which all the springs are led can be visited at the Black Mountain foothills at the altitude of 1,172 m.
Indoor swimming pool in Susice
After a demanding day, you can have a rest in a renovated indoor swimming pool facility in Susice. There is a paddling pool and other amusements for children, water chute, 25m-long swimming pool, amusement pool with hydro-massage jets, whirlpools or Finnish and steam saunas.

Sumava Cross-country Skiing Highway
The best place to suck in the beauty of The Bohemian Forest – Sumava is the Sumava cross-country skiing highway. The track goes across the Sumava National Park. The highway connects The Bohemian Forest from the Zelezna Ruda town as far as to Lipno. And there are countless other tracks around!
